The Atlanta ASDFED Chapter and the GACFE would like to invite you to attend their upcoming joint meeting.  The meetings are open to the general public.

Topic 1: Motion Related to a Medicare Fraud Case

Speaker: Greg Freemyer, Chief Technology Officer at Norcross Group

A Co-Founder of Norcross Group, Greg Freemyer drives the technological underpinnings of Norcross Group’s offerings, and directs complex data collection and preservation operations for litigation support. He has submitted Expert Reports in Federal cases as a Computer Systems Expert and has been accepted as an Expert Witness in Federal Civil Court, accepted specifically as an Expert Witness on ESI Collection. He has testified as a technical ESI expert in many areas including Microsoft Exchange Server and the use of Index Engines. He was named a Special Master in a Federal Court case relating to intellectual property theft in 2010.

Before helping start Norcross Group, Mr. Freemyer served as Senior Internet Engineer on several major projects for international corporations such as Siemens and Ford Motor Company. He developed a highly successful PBX test system for Melita International and supervised both hardware and software design for a highly sophisticated Boeing 767 Flight Management System Trainer. In addition, Mr. Freemyer worked on data protection, retention, and recovery solutions provided through TruStorage, Inc. Mr. Freemyer is an HP Certified Master SAN Architect, HP Tru64 ASE, Red Hat Certified Engineer and Microsoft Certified Professional. He has over 20 years of IT experience and is an expert on storage sub-systems for Microsoft, UNIX, and Linux operating systems.

Topic 2:  Defense in Depth Approach to Continuous Compliance

An ordered approach to compliance can make remediation of any gaps less painful and impactful to your business.  Auditing for compliance to the multitude of regulations and statures can be complicated and time consuming to determine if the company APPEARS compliant or IS compliant to all of the requirements.  Continuous compliance can be found using a structured approach based on the tested concept of Defense in Depth.  This presentation will give you the tools you need to make efficient impact.

Speaker: Phillip Mahan, CISSP, CISA, CIPP

Director of Risk Services, Williams & Garcia, LLC, Phillip Mahan is an Information Security and Privacy professional who has spent a decade and a half within the Fortune 50.  As a consultant, he has created Governance documents for small and medium-sized businesses and given countless training sessions on various aspects of Information Security.  Phillip holds several IT certifications including  CISSP, CISA, & CIPP and is a member of the American Society for Digital Forensics and eDiscovery (ASDFED), the American Society for Industrial Security (ASIS), and the Information Systems Audit and Control Association (ISACA).  He is the Atlanta KnowledgeNet Chair for the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP), and the President of the Atlanta chapter of the High Technology Crime Investigation Association (HTCIA).  His experience is rooted in various business sectors, including Retail, Petrochemical, Insurance, and Finance. 
 
Phillip is a Security Professional who has spoken to business owners and corporations on a variety of  topics including “Vigilant Common Sense”, “Governance & the Entrepreneur”, "Privacy and Investigations", and “Hunting for budget without ‘F.U.D.’ (Fear, Uncertainty, and Doubt)”
