Trends & Challenges in Incident Response and Digital Forensics
The fields of Incident Response and Digital Forensics often intersect and are constantly evolving. Changes in technology and the legal landscape require information security practitioners to stay current with trends and adapt their techniques to meet the demands presented by new hardware, software and business requirements. This presentation covers several of the current and future challenges in the fields of Incident Response and Digital Forensics and offers possible solutions to effectively address those challenges. Topics addressed include “cloud” computing, RAM (memory) forensics and methods for managing ever increasing amounts of storage and data.
Speaker: Ray Strubinger
Ray Strubinger is an Information Security professional whose career experience includes financial services, software development, electronic commerce, healthcare and higher education. Within the field of Information Security Ray focuses on Incident Response and Digital Forensics as well as projects pertaining to end point protection, defense in depth, and data analysis. He holds certifications from the SANS Institute in the areas of Forensics, Incident Handling and Auditing and has an MBA in technology management from the Georgia Institute of Technology.

* Turn left at Peachtree Dunwoody Rd NE,
* Destination will be on the left (0.7 miles)
Take the second entrance to Embassy Row (the guard house is at the first entrance, continue past and take the next Left.
The parking garage is directly in front of you as you enter and the University (building 500) is immediately to your left. You can park in the parking lot or the parking garage.
When coming into the campus building, please identify yourself to security as attending the ASDFED meeting.
